Hit the market ASAP with a functional app

Kickstart your development process and launch in as little as two weeks. Whether you’ve raised a seed round or you’re bootstrapping, time-to-market is crucial. You don’t have the time and money to waste on mistakes or miscalculations. You don’t need to, because I’ve been taking fuzzy ideas and rapidly turning them into real products for the last 20 years.

Get a rock-solid foundation that lasts

This phase of your business lays the groundwork for the future. Technical decisions made today can have downstream effects that severely impact your bottom line. An agile development process is not just about writing code fast, it’s about designing an entire technical stack that can be easily adapted to an ever-changing landscape.

Use a crystal clear development process and roadmap

Business doesn’t stop once you have a product. You need a development process that’s battle-tested and easy to understand. You also need a roadmap to help you navigate upcoming technical and UX challenges. I’ll help you develop a clear strategic vision where we hone in on the optimal path forward based on user needs, product market fit, and industry insights.

From ignition to liftoff

I'll build your web or mobile app in as little as two weeks. When a larger scope is required, it can take up to 6 weeks. We'll plan all that out ahead of time in meetings where we’ll discuss strategic insights and lay out all the blueprints.

As it gets built, we will have video meetings once per week, and email updates every day. Then you'll have a functional MVP. That will include all features that we agree are the bare minimum to get a product to market or impress in a pitch to investors.

After we launch the app, I won't just leave you hanging. I'll be there to help you transition to the next phase – whether that means continuing with me, starting your own team, or going it alone. More than just an MVP, there will be a development process in place that you understand and an actionable roadmap in hand with the best path forward.

Day 0
Free Consultation

We’ll discuss your business and my services to determine if we’re a good match. I’ll gather all the info I need to build some estimates for the optimal path forward.

Day 1
Kickoff Meeting

Time to lay out all the blueprints and dig into strategic insights about your business. We’ll define the MVP, go over the plan, and verify the timeline.

Days 2-3
R&D

We need to find the optimal way to model data for users, performance, costs, and future plans. We also need tools for a consistent and transparent development process – communications, workflows, hosting, etc.

Days 4-13
The Sprint

Each day I will build and push updates to a development app so that you can follow the progress and provide feedback. We will meet one or more days to discuss details.

Day 14
Launch Meeting

Congrats! You have an MVP. Time to talk about where things go from here, how to monitor and control the app, and what to expect.

FAQ

I charge $8,900 per week. A true MVP – a minimum viable product that can generate profit – can usually be done in two weeks. That’s what I’ll always recommend. The average startup usually wants additional features, and takes 3-4 weeks.

If the product and timing is right, sometimes I’m open to an equity deal. Most of the time, I’m too busy for a commitment like that.

That depends! If it’s a good fit, and I have the time, then I would love to be your CTO, or even a fractional CTO.

In a nutshell – you get what you pay for. I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning up messes left by cheap development shops. Typically in the software world, you can either do it right or do it twice.

Working with startups for 20 years has allowed me to compress a typically months-long process down to just a couple of weeks, while dramatically increasing the quality. Startups are incredibly risky, and I can help reduce that risk by orders of magnitude.
